Candle Safety


Follow these guidelines to safely enjoy your candle:
  • When burning the candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt to the sides of the glass, this may take 3-4 hours.
  • Trim candle wick to ¼ inch before each use.
  • Keep the candle free of any debris such as wick trimmings, matches and dust.
  • Burn the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Always burn the candle within sight.
  • Keep the candle out of the reach from children and pets.
  • Never leave the candle burning when leaving the house or going to sleep.
  • Keep the burning candle away from flammable objects such as drapes, paper, etc.
  • Discontinue burning the candle when ½ inch of wax remains.
  • Keep the burning candle away from drafty areas, like fans and vents.
  • Don’t burn too many candles in a small room.
  • Never touch or move a burning candle when the wax is liquid.
  • Allow the candle to cool completely before handling.
  • Use a snuffer to extinguish candles.
  • Never extinguish candles with water.
